Question about post-op sex & HRT

I am only two weeks out from my TAH and am wondering, for all of you who are having sex that is no different than before, are you taking any hormones? Testosterone?

I had my TAH ~3 months ago and I'm still a little achey. O's are more "outside" than "inside" if that makes any sense-definitely not like before. Is that bad? Well, I do miss the "whole body" feeling but the "buzz" that replaced it is not terrible. I look forward to 6 months and beyond. I think I still feel a bit protective of my parts- still feels raw abdominally.

My doctor's nurse practitioner told me that vegatable oil works great as a lubricant too! She said it is also something your husband will go to the store for! I agree that the astroglide it SOOOO much better than KY.

I am not on hormones and my husband and I have "mind-blowing" sex now! It was pretty good before, but is even better now. I still experience soreness afterwards - I just figured that it was from not using those muscles in so long. Maybe you will have the same luck.

I am on estrogen only, smallish dose I've been told. Sex is great- no problem with big o or lubrication.

tried yesterday (surgery jan 25/abdom + ovaries and adhesions) and found pretty painful...am having an excellent recovery and am cleared...shall i stop for another week or keep trying?

I've never been on hormones and sex was just as good after as before surgery A little lubricant is always useful, plus I use RePlens, a longer term vaginal product to keep things moist.

I had a LSH and have been using hormone creams. A bit of estrogen vaginally, progesterone cream half the month, and some testosterone cream. My libido is great and sexual functioning is great, but only now at 7 weeks post op. Give yourself time.

7 wks tomorrow. Vivelle Dot for HRT. It is a small patch that is changed twice a week. No problems w/ menopausal symtoms. I've reached the big o several times. I have used lube but this last time we didn't. It feels just as good as before.
