? re Swelly Belly Band

Hello Ladies,

I am scheduled to have my TAH on 1/16/08 and would like to purchase the swelly belly band. I called my Ins carrier and they said that if I can purchase it over the counter then it's NOT covered. I have Cigna HMO do any of you ladies have this insurance carrier and can you give me any feed back regarding this? I think the rep didn't really know. She kind of sounded new and kept putting me on hold.

My other question. I want to purchase the band here on this site but have NO idea what size I am. If I wear a size 6 in slacks would I go with the medium?

Thank you so much.

You would wear a princess size (the smaller size) if you wear size 6 in slacks.

Most women find that purchasing the band and keeping the receipt, they can fill out the reimbursement form from their insurance company, include the code (L0960) for the band and a copy of their receipt (which comes with the band) and they will get reimbursed. It depends on your medical coverage and if they will reimburse medical devices. Some insurances won't cover medical devices. Most will.

Hope this helps!

Kathy,

I will purchase it and submit the receipt. It doesn't hurt to try right?

Is the band adjustable?

Thank you.

Yes, it is adjustable. I think you will find the description of the swelly belly band to be helpful to answering your questions.
