normal again?

Was just wondering how long its gonna take to feel normal again? Don't get me wrong I am so glad to have had the surgery and feel way better than I did before I had it done. I am 7 weeks out tomorrow and just feel so crudy today, I cantt seem to get going and I have also been spotting blood, would have thought that this would have stopped by now, I worked 50 hours this week and felt great all week then all of a sudden my back started hurting last night and the spotting started up again. Sorry ladies just needed to vent a little, I am so ready to be me again!

Re: normal again?

You are still early in recovery, it will take time, they say to be completely healed 100% is a full year , that doesn't mean that you will not be normal till 1 year it just means it will still take time to get back to your energy levels.

I am 6 months and still find i have my limits on lifting things and energy levels. It does happen and it will get better remember not to push too much rest when you need to and maybe you are just not up to 50 hours yet

Re: normal again?

50 hours are alot, that may be the reason for the bleeding this late.

Re: normal again?

I just passed the 5 month mark & I am starting to feel like my old self, minus the pain, cramps pressure prior to surgery. My activity level is increased & sex is much better. The swelly belly is almost gone and hardly any discomfort. Don't rush your healing process. Everyone heals differently. You had major surgery. Indulge yourself in some rest.

Re: normal again?

Sounds like you just overdid it this past week. I think a lot of the time this healing process is 2 steps forward, 1 step back. I'm 8 1/2 weeks post-op, and felt really good week before last, coming home from work with enough energy to enjoy my evening, then dragged a little this past week. Friday I was really tired all day, useless once I got home, and I slept until 11 AM on Saturday.

It's frustrating, but I think the best thing is to listen to our bodies. On the tired days, don't force it; just try to get the extra rest your body needs on those days.
