Re: Is six weeks recovery time after hysterectomy enough for a teacher?
Hi all,
I am an administrator at a school, so I can sit at a desk if I need to. I taught for 21 years prior to that. If you are teaching little ones, don't forget all of the energy they require. Also think about things you may be required to do such as stand on your feet for 20 minutes for a recess duty or lunch duty. Sit in long staff meetings. You are up and down and on your feet all day. Especially with the little ones. Talk to your doctor and be realistic about what you are expected to do each day. If you can squeeze in even 2 more weeks of time off, it may pay off in the end. You are also exposed to colds, flu, etc.
