last night was my 11th post op and I had horrible pain and cramping?

Dear Ladies,
Last night would have been exactly my 11th day post op and I had a horrible time trying to fall asleep. I had insane pain and horrible cramping. I have nothing, they took the whole shebang, so I am very confused?? I had taken all I could for pain med's and I still was having lot's of pain and it reminded me of endo pain?? What is that all about can you please let me know what you think it may have been as I am considering calling my dr. today regarding it and I also want my patholgy results. This Wed. night will be two weeks for me so you would think they would know something by now, right?

I would say definitely call your Doc, but I remember having a night like that at about the same point. It only happened once, but it turned out to be related to gas and intestinal activity getting started again. Hope it's something simple for you --and that it doesn't happen again!

I'm 8-weeks out and had a TAH.

Any new pain needs to be reported to your doctor. Call and let him/her know, as you might need to be examined. I hope you feel better soon and please keep up posted.

Thanks, I did call my dr. he is unable to see me today as he is at the hospital at the women's center doing day procedures but he can see me first thing in the am. So thanks for your advice and I truly appreciate it and I will keep you posted,

Hi Nicole,
Your post was actually a relief for me to read, I am also 12 days post op today (surgery 21st) and all morning I have been having horrible cramping and pain, sometimes just one side sometimes all over.
I have been stressing over it all morning and actually took 2 tye3's when I have pretty much been off them for days now.
I went out for a walk yesterday and was thinking maybe I over did it even though I felt ok last night - just more tired than usual.
Bowels are still a worry for me also as I am only going every 3-4 days so maybe that is not helping.
I will look forward to hearing how you get on at the Dr.
I am in Ontario and luckily we are still having ok weather as I really loved just getting outside in the fresh air yesterday. My guess is its already too cold for you to be outside too long ???

Thanks for the message. Yes, I will keep you posted and let you know what he has to say. I am most definitely over doing it, I am a stubborn scottish redhead who is feircly independent so this taking it easy thing is really difficult for me
I know my future health depends on it and having just had my 13th surgery, furture surgeries is the last thing I want, hence the whole full hyst. situation. All my best to you to and I wish you a painfree as possible recovery.

P.S. Yes, it is cold here lately, however the sun is shining and it is about plus 2 or 3 but it was minus 7 this morning, I am hoping to get e little fresh air soon too, as soon as my son gets better from the flu/cold(hopefully not H1N1!!) and goes back to school, no rest for the wicked
