TLH How long does discharge last?

Just wondering how long I can expect to have vaginal discharge/drainage from surgery? My surgery was 3 weeks ago. Thanks!

Hi! Mine went on until week 8 post op--ugh! But it has stopped completely - and I've had none for about 5 days now - yippee!

i have only had some "pink" discharge... my gyn said I could have discharge for up to 6-8 weeks...

I am 3 weeks post surgery today and the light red spotting continues..... Although it stopped for a week between days 3 and 11. My gyn said 6 or 7 weeks and then I should have no more bleeding again.

Thanks...I failed to ask my doc about this and I don't see him again for another 2 weeks. I appreciate the information!

I'm 3 weeks post-op tomorrow and my drainage stopped for about a week starting with day 3 too and then started back. I'm not going to complain about a little drainage for a few more weeks -- at least I'm not dealing cramps and bloating anymore. I'm just thankful to have this surgery over and done with! Thanks!

Isn't it great Suzi? I was in pain 3 out of 4 weeks of the month and I am loving not having to deal with that anymore!! And the lower back pain is gone! I feel a huge difference already.

Yes, Sam, it is nice and I'm looking forward to feeling even better once I'm all healed up. I had dealt with ovarian cysts for years and I'm so glad to have them gone for good!
