Bad nightmares

What meds are you on? They gave me Ambien for sleep and I had horrible dreams, Here's one for ya:
I dreamed that I had holes in all my teeth and they were filled with bee's nests and the bees were all in my mouth and my mouth would NOT shut! EEEK!! Then all my teeth started falling out. OMG!
I stopped the Ambien and the dreams stopped. Just my experience.

Bad nightmares

I've always had *super* vivid dreams. Sometimes I'll start telling my DH about one of them and he'll stop me because they're too scary!

But, post surgery, they were definitely always gory.

B K, was your trachelectomy (removal of cervix) done abdominally or vaginally? Was it lap assisted? How is your recovery going? Have you gotten any path results yet?

I had very strange dreams--filled with yucky, frightening images like yours--after my C-section and after the two surgeries that I had. I've still got my ovaries. I didn't have those dreams after my vaginal birth.

I'm thinking it may be a combo of the anesthesia, the pain meds, and the fact that we *were* actually cut open and had sharp things inside of us and things cut out. Surgery is such a trauma to the body. It's got to do a number on the subconscious, too!

Dr. did want to send me home with Ambien but I told her no. I am on a mild pain killer but I have taken it before, so I am sure that is not it.
Last night I dreamed my hair was on fire and my head was melting. I must have been making noise because DH woke me and told me I was having a bad dream. I actually felt of my head to make sure it was ok.
