TAH 4 days post hysterectomy: have a cough..ouch

Ok ladies. I'm doing great except for the fact I have a horrible cough. Ouch! An suggestions to help with that? Thanks.

This happened to me due to my asthma flaring up from anesthesia. I found that if I was sitting or lying down, bending my knees up made it hurt less. Also, holding a pillow on your abdomen helps. If the coughing is bad or doesn't improve, call your dr and see if you can get something to settle it down. I was afraid of opening my incision, but I was ok.

I'm doing the knee bending and pillow. Opening incision is my main concern too. Hopefully it goes away soon. I went a couple days without my allergy meds and have drainage so I think that's the prob
