4 Weeks Post-Op - Discharge

Happy to be walking at least a little bit normally. I had surgery on the 3rd of Dec., and I still feel weird. I experienced fibroids on the outside of the uter. and on the inside. My stomachs going down, however, I am still a little swollen. What is bothering me the most is this discharge. They removed my uter and cervix, and I know that the v/cuff is healing, however, WHEN will this discharge stop. It's pinkish/greyish with a old dead/blood odor....It has slowed down some, however, even a drop or two, smells. I get so ashamed, I wash all the time...

Any advise....

From what I'm reading on other threads and from the Checkpoint lists that are available here is that the odor can come from the dissolving stitches. Discharge from what I'm reading is very individual can go on for a long time.

I would just say try to live with it. If there's things you can do to make yourself smell better (lotions, perfumes, whatever.) But to feel shame, that just doesn't sound right.

I haven't had to put up with so long, but I guess it is what it is. Better than what we had before, right?
