Pads - what kind?

On the take to the castle list it lists pads. I've probably got a little bit of every size. So what should I throw in the bag to take?

Pads - what kind?

I didn't take any pads to the hospital because my hospital supplied them. I didn't need them anyway because I never had any bleeding or discharge. You might want to ask the hospital if they will have pads for you or if you need to take your own.

Hopefully, someone who took their own to the hospital will come along and share with you.

Best wishes and s, Deb

Pads - what kind?

I brought some pads only becuase I had bladder surgery with my TAH/BSO so just in case it didnt work I wanted some heavy duty pee pads to wear home.. but I didnt need them I had one accident right after the CAT was taken out but only one at 3 am I needed a pad didnt want to dig in my bag too early for me and asked the nurse for one she gave me a whole bag full...I am happy to say I have been pad free FOR A FULL MONTH YEAH ME!! So I say just bring one in case the nurse is busy when you need one and then ask her for more when you see her.. good luck!!

Pads - what kind?

I didn't take any pads to the hospital either. The hospital supplied some but I didn't really need any.

Pads - what kind?

My hospital didn't offer them although they probably had them. I took thin maxi-pads and those were nice to use not only in the panty area, but against the abdomen part of the panty to protect my incision--not as bulky as a regular maxi pad. As it turns out I didn't need either pad at all (no discharge either vaginally or from the incision), but it was nice to have exactly what I would have preferred (rather than hospital stuff) in case I had needed them.

Pads - what kind?

I took some minipads with me but never used them. The hospital kept a bag of pads as well as the mesh panties in my bathroom so I used theirs....I did have some bleeding and discharge and their pads were long enough to cover me laying, sitting, and standing! The mesh panties were extremely comfortable....in fact I wish I had some of them here at home!
I still use pantiliners at home during the day and the minipads at night.
