Why am I soooo nervous

Hi ladies,

Well I am just over 1 week away from having all my repairs done. Why am I so nervous? The new dr I am having do my surgery has done this procedure numerous times and it will be alot like my hysterectomy as far as the incision goes. I can handle pain quite well. I know this is for the best. It is an awful feeling when your insides feel like they are falling out. I just needed to vent my feelings once again. I hate being nervous. I went to my pre op appt last Friday and felt like I was having surgery right then. My nerves were off the wall. Plus my dh is out of town on business, I do not feel well most of the time and having to take care of my 3 ds's which they are being very helpful. I have a wonderful father and mil that help. My dh should be coming home next week sometime. I should not be going through this at my age is what the dr's have told me. Well I am. I have a cystocele, rectocele, enterocele, and my remaining ovary needs to come out. Sorry for the sob story. Thank you for listening. You all are wonderful I do not know what I would do without this website.

{{{{{{{Carol}}}}}}}} I think your being nervous is quite normal as you probably know deep down inside. You just had your hyst only a few weeks ago and now have to go through this all over again. I had surgery again about 8 months post hyst and was MORE nervous than I was for my hyst. Not sure why but I chalk it up to just being sick of being sick. Good luck to you hun and I am glad to see you have a lot of help around. You may feel alot better when your hubby gets home, too. God bless......

Dear Carol,
Can you please explain what "cystocele" is. I'm 4 months post and having a terrible pain on my left ovary. Just curious.
So sorry you have to go back through this again. I think I would be just as nervous the second time around, which is one of my fears. But I also know that God is with me, he's with you too and you will be in my prayers.

Thank you. I think you are right about everything. It helps hearing it from someone who has gone through it. I miss my hubby so much and just found out today he will not be home for thanksgiving. But I will not let it get me down. He will for sure be here for my surgery. My sons miss him so much. Thanks again and take care.

Thank you for your support. I hope I can help. A Cystocele is when your bladder bulges in your vagina. The symptoms can range from have to urinate more than normal, pain in your bladder, leaking urine and incontinence. You can look this up on the web for better explanation. Basically the specialist told me I have a bulge in my rectum (rectocele), bladder (cyctocele), small intestine is herniated (enterocele) and my vaginal wall has dropped. I would definately call your dr about your pain in your ovary you should not be having this. Take care and let me know what you find out.
