Good Morning All

I had a pretty good I guess. Pain is very bad and still there this morning. But I figure, what the heck, I only have 6 days left now. I am trying to get evrything in order here at home, arranging child care etc for the first week or so. I have been reading everyones lists of things to do during your recovery time and it make me think of how boring I must be. hahaha. I think I am just going to sleep as much as I can, well in between my excersise times, walking, leg stretches etc. I am all relaxed and forgiving of the people that made my pre-op so horrible yesterday. I do think maybe their own stress had got the better of them. Anyway I am just blabbing here, wasting time as I try to think what I should bring to the hospital. Thanks for listening to me blab.

Good Morning All

Hi Vicky

Not long to go now girl!!!

Sorry to hear your pre-op was terrible. I had a good one - the nurse was slightly wacky, kept telling me how she was glad she had a young person 'to do'. They couldn't get any blood out of my arm so I looked like a pin cushion when I left - ah well you have to laugh.

I am wasting time a little here today too... its the big day tomorrow. Doing my bowel prep - greah huh.

I hope you get your childcare sorted out - I am sorry to say I don't have that worry, apart from DH who is a big kid himself.

Keep smiling Vicky - try not to be too scared. Just think no more pain, no heavy bleeding. Fantastic.

Hi

Tomorrow eh? Are you getting anxious now or are you nervous or scared? Will I be able to keep my sanity the day before? I must agree..I so can't wait for this pain to be gone. I don't have to take a bowel prep, my doctor just said eat nothing but rectal friendly foods for the few days before, bran muffins and coffee will be my menu. Are you excited? I think I am looking forward to all the sleep I will get. I have suffered pretty bad insomnia due to pain for over a year now. I would go up to 3 full days without even closing my eyes or get like 3 to 4 hours a night. I'm so drained in every sense.I can't wait to hear all about your experience when you log back on. Good Luck to you and best wishes for a happy, uneventful recovery!

good morning all

oh yes, the insomnia. This is the first I think I have heard of this from anyone else. I have to admit I have sleep issues my whole life, even as a little kid, I thought it was normal to lay in bed and day (or Night) dream a lot of the night instead of sleeping. But the last few years have been ridiculous. The pain level just will not allow me to get into a deep sleep and maintain it. Add to that the anemia, and I am one tired gal. Some days I feel like I am literally sleep walking throughout the day. There have been days in the last few months that I actually feel like I have been slugged in the head, or slightly motion sick from being so tired. Oh well, I am just waiting for those last test results to find out a surgery date...and I'll be getting on the road to recovery! Leslie
