Uh Oh, started my period today!

Hi sisters my pre-op is tomorrow and surgery is scheduled for 3/19 and guess what I get today? It will definitely be my first question for the doc tomorrow, but do they have to cancel it? I really can't imagine waiting any longer!!! I can't believe it, the stupid thing didn't come last month, I thought it was farewell already and that I would be done...but NO....I feel like my uterus is just going to fall out now!!! Sorry to be so upset, but I could see the light at the end of the tunnel this time yesterday..and now this just feels like a setback, especially if they have to cancel me.... : (

Don't worry, I hear they just hand you some nice disposable panties and a pad and tell you to put them on!!

There are ALOT of ladies that have experienced this. It don't matter either way, they'll wheel you in and you'll never have to worry about that again

Do not worry anymore. They will still do the surgery. I have heard of many ladies on their period during surgery. Just think it will be your last one forever!!!

"Aunt Flo" made her last visit to me 3 days pre-op. Boy was it strange when I woke up from surgery and POOF...all gone.

Don't worry about it...like LVAN said...it'll never happen again. And just wait till you go to the store and get to walk right past the pads and tampon isle laughing.

I was having the heaviest day of my period on surgery day. I actually wore a tampon going into the ER after getting permission from my doctor to do so.

Whew, I knew right where to go to get some sort of emotional relief! Right here to this website, my hyster sisters are terrific and always willing to help a fellow sister! Thank you SO much.
