Slight spotting 15 days after hysterectomy

I've had a great day but I've experienced some slight spotting, could I've done too much or too long of a car ride? Im 15 days post op. Any reply is greatly appreciated

Re: Slight spotting

I would get a hold of your dr. I had an 8 hr car ride one week after a TAH and I had no spotting.

Re: Slight spotting

By spotting do you mean only when you go to the bathroom or are you having to wear liners? I am apx 6wks post op and I have blood in my urine at times. My OB surgeon says its normal for healing. You should call your dr to be safe and see what she recommends.

Re: Slight spotting

By spotting I mean maybe blood tinged tissue when I wipe after I urinate. Nothing really, my hubby n I just thought all the potholes may have caused it or I just did too much yesterday.
Thank you for your replys happy healing

Re: Slight spotting 15 days after hysterectomy

I'm five weeks and still slightly spotting. Dr says it's normal and it will continue because you still have blood in your abdominal cavity from the surgery that will slowly get washed out.

Re: Slight spotting 15 days after hysterectomy

I am 18 days and just started this yesterday. I have not bled at all, the entire time until now. Evidently, it's normal to spot lightly as the stitches start to dissolve/expel. Let you Dr. know for your own peace of mind, but, if you start bleeding heavier or darker, definitely call asap.

Re: Slight spotting 15 days after hysterectomy

I just started spotting two days ago. Mostly a couple of times a day when I wipe and slight spotting on pantyliner. Dr told me at my two week appt that spotting or very light bleeding is not unusual when the stitches start dissolving. I'm glad he told me that or I'd be concerned!

Re: Slight spotting 15 days after hysterectomy

Just talked to my dr because I had a bit more bleeding, still not much but since I'd had none until a couple days ago, wanted to check and I'm having some cramping. He said no worries at all, this is normal about this stage. I can keep up with my activities and not to worry!
