Hello Sisters

I'm a 53 year old Canadian woman who has a doctor that took 4 months to tell me I have multiple fibriods(after bladder ultrsound, barium enema, bone scan, etc.) Seems he checked every other organ first because I am menopausal and he wasn't thinking fibroids.
Anyway I see the specialist in 2 more days and I think I have what is called Compression Syndrome-large fibroids pressing on both the bladder and bowel causing endless problems- up to pee up to 10 times a night and at times a great deal of pain with any urine in my bladder along with constipation and bloating.I'm on a stool softenor 3 or 4 times a day to be able to function at all.
Does anyone out there have experience with these sypmtoms? What can I expect when I see the specialist? Will he get me in for surgery quickly? Any information you can offer will be greatly appreciated.

Hello Sisters

Well, getting in quick is up to the doctors surgery schedule. I was told I was flooded with fibroids for 2 years before I finally had my hyst. but I had zero, it was all cysts and a prolapse too, and once I got rid of them all I am so much better off, good luck!
