Constant Migraine post hysterectomy

Good evening all,

I have suffered migraines my whole life, actually runs in my family: mother, brother, daughter, Aunts, you get the picture.

But never have I had a migraine last this long (around a week & a half) the severity is always different from day to day.
I read some of the topics about migraines after surgery (was only finding topics that aren't recent).
I will not take HRT, my mother had breast cancer six years ago & frankly my symptoms thus far aren't bad. I'm already on antidepressants for bi polar disorder.

Sorry, got off topic, any hoo, any suggestions to help with my migraines until I see my doctor end of July - early August?

And unfortunately no, I am unable to speak with my doctor until my appointment, many reasons why.

Thank you in advance

Hi,
sorry to hear you are having migraines.
I had migraines my whole adult life and at times I needed a neurologist for my care.
Perhaps it is time for you to get a referral to see a neurologist and see what the neurologist can do for you.
It really changed my life when the neurologist put me on medication.
Anyhow, it would probably also be good to have a headache diary when you see the doctor, like a piece of paper where you can describe your headache and when you get it and so on. If you start it now you have some data for the doctor when you go.

Hi there! I had a spinal/epidural and had a horrific migraine afterward. I called my doctor who then called my anesthesiologist who then had to perform a blood patch in my spine. Turns out I had a spinal fluid leak. The good news is that the migraine went away within minutes . If you had this procedure call your doctor or go to the hospital. Best of lug....air hug!
