PMDD and hyster. with ovaries removed

I am so sorry that you had such an awful experience with the Yaz. I know how cazy and debilitating the whole PMDD thing can be. And I too am extremely sensitive to these hormones.

I do think it was a good idea to have tried the Yaz though. It is important to exhaust all of your other options before deciding on oophorectomy. It helps to keep track of what you have tried so that if you ultimately do go through with oophorectomy/hysterectomy, you can look back without regret at your decision.

Dear Kendallrae, My doctor said that if I didn't do well on Yaz that he would try Lupron which puts you into a medical menopause and that way you might be able to see if you get relief from it. I heard it's a temporary solution, but I also heard that they're using it more and more to avoid hysterectomy if you are close to menopause anyways. Maybe you can get some info on that. Good luck!
