Pathology Report Question
My question is relative to the pathology report I received from my recent surgery. I had the surgery because of a fibroid; however, the pathology report says nothing about the fibroid. It does mention having "endocervical cystic dilation"...is that the fibroid? It says nothing about size, cells, etc...find it rather odd I guess.
The good news is that when the doc went in for the surgery, he saw that my tubes were "ugly" and took them out. The lab report confirms they were in fact "ugly". One was adhered to itself and they both were filled with clear fluid/blocked-hydrosalphinx. This alone makes me feel better about having the surgery for a fibroid that I don't see on my pathology report (smile). Any thoughts?
I will be asking the doc at my post op on Tuesday but thought I would see if anyone might know! Thanks.

Re: Pathology Report Question
That does seem strange, doesn't it? Is there another report of some sort with more info? I had the opposite, a fibroid and adenomyosis I hadn't suspected. I guess we never know what's going on in there. I'd ask for any further reports, if they exist. It'll be interesting to hear what your Dr says.
