Oops! Lifted my 32 lb son!

Well, you get busy taking care of a three year old, and you're bound to forget not to pick him up! We're potty training, and I lifted him onto the toilet. Just did it automatically. It didn't hurt, but I hope I didn't do any damage. Anyone had any experience with this? Thanks!

Oops! Lifted my 32 lb son!

I have a 35 pound 3 year old and yup I have lifted him. I try to only do it when absolutely necessary, Dr. said I could after two weeks, but ONLY lift him and nothing else... So far, so good, I don't think I have hurt anything. Good luck!

Oops! Lifted my 32 lb son!

I had the same problem. Mom kicks in and it just happens. My dr. just laughed when I told him. The main thing is to not do it any more than absolutely necessary and pay attention to the pain. If it didn't hurt, I'd say it's probably o.k. but I'm not a dr. Did you have AH or VH? I was released from lifting restrictions by week 4 w/a TVH. I wonder sometimes if it had anything to do with what my body was used to pre-op.

Oops! Lifted my 32 lb son!

I totally forgot last night and picked up my 3 year old nephew. I had a bladder suspension along with my hyst. and have a lifetime weight limit of 25 pounds. Hubby wasn't too happy to see me walking in the room with him in my arms, but I totally forgot!!! He wanted me to pick him up and I did. OOPS!
