New doctor--new surgery date.

Hello everyone. My husband and I were not confident with my first doctor. She never returned phone calls, etc. Therefore, I found a new doctor and cancelled my TAH that was set for December 16th.

We're very pleased with my new doctor. She ran many tests, including CA-125, CA-19-9 and some tumor markers. She has ruled out cancer in my right ovary. The source of my horrendous pain are fibroid tumors.

I have a pre-op on January 20th and my hysterectomy on January 23rd. I will be so thankful to have this surgery and then get well and be free from all of this pain.

I thank all of you on this website for the wonderful experiences that you share. You ladies are terrific.

New doctor--new surgery date.

I'm glad you found a doctor you can have confidence in, that is really important. When I first started having problems a few years ago I had a doctor that quickly dismissed alot of my symptoms as "normal". I knew better and looked elsewhere for a doc that would listen to my concerns and work with me to find the problem. I go in for surgery tomorrow. Still no diagnosis, suspected Adenomyosis, but I have great confidence in my doc and that helps me sleep at night and feel comfortable with my decision.

Good luck.

Hi Hayley, I will be praying for you on the 23rd also. I am scared too, so I totally understand what you mean. But, everyone who has been through the surgery assures me that the waiting and the dread of the surgery is worse than the actual surgery.

I have a grown daughter, who lives nearby with her family. My hubby is going to take a few days off work if I need him with me when I first get home. The 23rd is his 50th birthday. We'll have to celebrate the day before. {~_~}

You're in my prayers.
