You go JoJo!!!

I am so sorry that you are having such a tough time. It sounds like you have adeno too...the boggy uterus is a key symptom. And it really bites that your current DD is being so casual about this. Sure, you might not have a life-threatening disease here, but the pain is enough to warrant faster action...at least that is my opinion! I live in New England myself, so I cannot help you with finding a doctor...sorry about that.

I hope that you find a size accepting dr. soon, and get some closure on this problem. And remember something lady...when it seems that you are hitting walls...

LARGE LADIES RULE!!! I call myself a fat chick (with love and affection and lots of self-respect), but that might not settle too well with others!

Here are big squishy hugs for ya...{{{{{{JoJo}}}}}}}}

Hi, Jo,
Is there a large hospital near you? I think that big hospitals are more open to variation among patients. Radiance magazine used to have a web address for a list of fat friendly doctors. You may be able to e-mail them and ask. Good luck. Having a good doctor makes all the difference in the world.

y'all need to come see my doc

My doctor has never given me a hard time about my weight, except to say, don't diet and gain it back, it is better to stay stable. He checks blood fats, sugar, etc. and will advise when something needs attention but he has never said, you need to lose weight. Some would say he does a disservice by having a "hands off" approach to the issue, but he puts me at ease. I asked him once, now on earth can you even FIND my ovaries on a pelvic exam, let alone, know if you are feeling any kind of abnormality? His reply was something like, lots of experience, and fat feels different than cysts. He is just plain a real good doc.

Keep lookin' if you ain't found yours yet, girlfriend. They are out there. (by the way, this one is older, not REAL old, but not one of these newagers either. He's seen it all,ain't nothin' scares him.)

Jo -
I agree with all the other posts about getting a second opinion! I am also over weight, and it hasn't been an issue with my doc. I had lost 50 pounds prior to all the bleeding and pain problems coming back full force. Because I've felt so bad the last few months, I haven't felt like cooking healthy meals, and I've put on 10 pounds. My Doc realizes that this is affecting my health and well-being in many ways, including gaining weight.

Hang in there - and by all the posts from all the wonderful Big and Beautify Ladies here - it's obvious you are not alone!
