beginning bowl preg-magnesium citrate

I choose to go the grape flavor, I've had it in the fridge for about a week and I'm drinking it through a straw. I can honestly say I've had worse tasting things. It's a bit sweet tasting and the flavor lingers but it's not horrid.

I'm drinking it as quickly as I can so I don't chicken out

Bottoms up on the bottle so I can be bottoms down on the toilet

I don't know if there is a record or not but I just finished the stuff. It starts out not so bad but tastes worst the longer it takes to drink it so my word of advise is to drink it as fast as you can!!!!

what a positive attitude you have... For now! you ,may not be having that while you are sitting on your "throne", being the princess you are! Best of luck with your surgery!

Hey Sue! We've got the same date!! It seems early to me for you to start your bowel prep... I'm doing mag citrate, too; but I don't start mine until tomorrow at noon. Are you only doing one bottle? Let me know how it all comes out

PS~ my only option for the Mag Citrate was the lemon-lime flavor (blech!).

And, I'm having a TVH with a urethral Lynx sling.

(I'm a little manic in my excitement to not have my uterus falling out of my body anymore... can you tell?!?)

I only have to do 1 bottle, my local Walgreens had Cherry, Lemon, and Grape. My doctor's instructions were to do the prep between 3-4 pm so it doesn't interfere with the nights sleep on the 5th. Then I can follow with a light meal of soup, salad or sandwich. The on the 6th I have to start the complete liquid diet.

So far 2.5 hours later I have 1 somewhat normal BM and then 2 more liquid BM's but no major cramping and horrid pains.

I think I'm just going to have a small salad with a little bit if turkey lunch meat on it and maybe some jell-o before bed time along with a lot of water.

May we both have uneventful surgeries and quick recoveries.
