Everyone is different!

This isn't a sprint, it's a marathon and you only get 1 chance to heal properly.

Re: perineal pain/ache

Hello Ladies, I too have this same pain and from researching I guess its part of the healing process. I have to learn to sit down and relax more. By the end of the day the perineal site is very sore and irritated. I have a constant yellowish discharge which I believe has something to do with the stitches "YUCK". I have not noticed any stitches yet! Hoping this pain goes away soon. DR appointment next week!!

Re: perineal pain/ache

Well, I got my answer. Yesterday was my six week checkup, and I told the doctor that something was still hurting me down there, and that I was also having occasional stabbing pains inside as well. She took a look and said that I have a large amount of granulation, and that I had torn incisions on the inside. I had to have another silver nitrate treatment yesterday. My first was at 3 weeks. I just want to cry. When will this end???

Re: perineal pain/ache

Dear Laugh or Cry,
Question: Did you notice when you tore at your incision??? I am suspecting that I did the same about two weeks ago. I bled and the discharge increased. So tired of wearing pads and liners.
