TLH: Daughter is sick!

So my anxiety has hit an all time high! My daughter woke up with the flu this morning. Aunt Flo came to visit. My surgery is Tuesday. I can not get sick and take a chance on having the surgery canceled. So I am staying at my in-laws. I feel terrible for not being there for her. I hope and pray she gets well soon so hopefully I can go home after the surgery. BTW she is 21 yrs old.. Lol...

I am sorry your daughter is sick. Good plan to be away from her at this delicate time. She is 21, so she should be able to tend to herself.

Regarding AF, I think you will be okay. Just tell them you are having your period so they can prepare. Having said that, I have read a post from one woman who had her surgery cancelled because she was having her period. So it might be doctor specific or patient specific. To be sure, you can call.

Good luck with your surgery, I am sure all will go well. We will be waiting for you on the other side.

I know how those older kids act like babies My 23 yr old just had a cold and told me that it was my fault that her immune system was messing up. If I had breast fed her as a baby then she wouldn't now have a cold. LOL. So I guess she's up a creek now because there's nothing I can do about that now haha

Well went for all my pre-ops this morning. Going through the lovely bowel prep. And it's NOT fun. Staying at my in laws as well makes it more uncomfortable. Wish I was at home. Surgery is at 8 in the am. Scared, nervous and anxious one minute then fine the next. Ready for this to be over...lol
