I also have been waking up soaked in sweat -- bed and nightgown. But in my case when this happens I wake up less swollen, and weighing less, so I consider it a good thing. I figure it's swelling and water retention going down.

I'm past menopause and went through this at the time. If you're not, this could be hormonal and could improve with appropriate hormone supplements.

Michelle,
It could be that your ovaries aren't working up to par right now. It is not unusual for the ovaries to take awhile to wake back up following a hyst. Night sweats and hot flashes can be a sign of fluctuating hormone levels. I would keep an eye on your symptoms, keeping a journal may be helpful and contact your doctor if things don't improve over the next month or so.

Thanks Kim,

I have on occassion had cold sweats periodically even before my TAH. I guess my body is doing it's own dance.

Annoying, and scary for me at first because I thought I had a fever although I didn't feel hot.

I too have been having night sweats. Now I keep the house cooler than normal and force my family to sleep in socks and add additional blankets to their beds. They can always put on more clothes or blankets. I can only take off so much
