Question - Stupid question... Stupid question...

I'm going to a surgon on monday to see about removing my right ovary. The stupid question is..... is that another hysterectomy if they take out your ovaries a year after they took out my cervix and uterus? Or what is the name of it?

Stupid question...

Oophorectomy is the name for having ovaries removed. "Hysterectomy" means having the uterus removed...so, no you won't be having another hysterectomy -- you can only have one.

Many s and Best Wishes,
