Help! MOther nature strikes!

Hello all. I am in some terrible pain and was wondering if anybody has any tips or advice. I haven't had a period in over a year, due to the fact that I was on depo-provera. I switched to continuous birth control pills several months back and tonight SUPRISE mother nature is back with a vengeance. I hurt so bad I was crying earlier, it feels like I'm in labor or something! I wish my castle date were tomorrow instead of a month from now!

Thanks
Jenny

Jifner,
If you are in that much pain call your doctor immediately. He may have something he can prescribe for you much stronger than the over the counter stuff to get you through this. Or maybe the doctor may want to check you. I also would try a heating pad. It really helps. I hope you feel better soon!!!

Oh Jenny you poor thing!!!!Bookworm is right - you need to call your hon. If your doctor is unavailable please go to the hospital just to be sure it is not something more serious than what you already know about. I had a similar problem 6 yrs. ago and ended up in the er - I was really glad I went too. My dr. was also glad I went. Sorry you are having the also. Ibuprofen and a heating pad may be a good start hon. Please let us know what you find out from your dr. Take care and good luck hon. Hopefully this will pass soon.

s Wendy

Thank you so much for your advice. I did call my today and he said to stop taking the birth control pills. :confuse: That is a little strange but I trust him so that's what I will do. He also recommended Aleve for the pain, taking three at a time. I feel a little better this evening and will take his advice, as well as trying a heating pad. Thanks ladies!
