Going to the Castle on Monday

I had my pre-op visit yesterday. I have been handling things pretty well, but had a meltdown last night. This is so hard for me to do because I have always wanted children and now I won't ever have my own. It makes me so incredibly sad.

I am running in a million directions at once - trying to organize things at work and at home. I have been in cleaning frenzy mode and not able to sleep much.

I am having ovaries, tubes and uterus removed (keeping cervix). I am very scared, especially after listening to all the things that could cause a problem during surgery. Signing that consent form was difficult. I've been told I may go home the same day. That seems very fast.

I can't begin to say how helpful both this website and the Hystersisters Journal has been.

Keep me in your thoughts as I visit the castle on Monday!

Those consent forms can be scary. They make us think of a whole range of possibilities we don't want to consider. That is one of the reasons it really helps if you have a lot of faith in your dr!

Going home times do seem to be getting shorter, but I'm sure your dr won't send you home before you are ready.
