still swollen from surgery 1/23????

I had my surgery on 1/23, cut from hip to hip..
I am barley into my cloths and was wondering if it is normal to still be swollen. I look smaller in the morning but as the day goes on, my belly gets bigger. By evening I look
5 months pregnant.
the whole experience has been a nightmare and I am looking forward to resuming life again. I have hormone issues, I think, and have made an appoinment for next week to look into options.
But this belly...grrrrrrrr.....

I had my TAH on March 17, 2010 so it was about 5 weeks ago and I am still swollen too. I say the same thing, it looks like I am 5 or 6 months pregnant. I still can't wear pants so I have to wear dresses all the time (or my night gowns LOL). I think once I heal, which could take up to a year sometimes to fully get back to "normal", I can start walking and exercising but for right now, I will give it time. We have to realize how much our body has went through and don't push the healing process.
I am sure things will get better each day! Keep your head up You are not alone!!!
