Hello ladies 😊 (Need information)

My name is Amber, I'm 25, and I go June 4th for a TLH. I was hoping that any of you ladies that have already been through this could give me some insight? How long was surgery? How long was recovery? Just any information would be great! Thank you ahead of time for any replies :-)

Re: Hello ladies 😊 (Need information)

I had a TAH but got to keep my ovaries on 4/29 and it took about 4 hours. I went into surgery about 9am, then recovery, then was in my room by about 5pm. I know it's 2 slightly different surgeries but hope this helps anyway!!!! Good luck and best wishes for a terrific recovery.

Hi ajraye08! to HysterSisters!

First off know that everyone is different. And recoveries are dependent on your surgery, whether there are complications, your health, and a multitude of other factors. However, you should think of recovery in weeks, not days. You will be very exhausted after surgery, and you will need help around the house with cooking, cleaning, dishes, laundry, driving, etc. for a few weeks.

I had a TAH BSO almost two years ago. My surgery took about 90 minutes. I was out of work for three weeks, and then moved slowly back into life. I could only go back part time at a moderate stress desk job for another four weeks, before being able to handle full time. 100% full recovery took about 15 months.
