Help, please. Sharp tearing pain...
I had a TAH with vertical incision above my belly button 5 weeks ago. I just got up out of my recliner quickly without hesitating because the door bell rang. As soon as I did it felt like someone stuck a knife in my abdomen and twisted it.
My incision is closed completely but this pain felt like it ripped open (it didn't). Now my incison and just to the right of it hurts so bad I don't want to move. It still feels like I have a knife in me, it's sore and tender. There isn't any swelling or bruising that I can see.
Should I call my doctor? Or just wait & see if it gets worse/better? Has anyone else had pain like this?

I haven't experienced this but it sounds like u hurt yourself with getting up too fast. Phone the doc if the pain doesn't subside, but try and take some strong pain tabs to ease it in the mean time
