Advice about pain and fever 10 days after hysterectomy

Hello everyone. I'm new here but have had some strange things happen and wondering if anyone has any suggestions...I had my surgery Jan 27...did great (except anesthia). Went home the next day...was at my dtrs gymnastics slowly moving the next day. Have done great, no pain med...last night I was running fever 100.5..being I was 10 post op I was hoping that it was from sinuses...this morning I am hurting in my lower abdomen and can barely walk, I can't stand up straight without hurting...why the sudden different pain..oh and did I mention it feels like my abdomen is going to fall out when I cough...can anyone shed light on this? Thx

If you have a fever and pain, you should call your doctor - the after hours line. Sounds like it might be an infection.

Thx. It's what I was thinking but hoping it was just coincidence with sinuses

Call your doctor or go to the ER. ASAP. You never know. It could be sinuses but it could be something else. And the fact that your belly is hurting...don't ignore this.

Yup, doctors or ER. We aren't trying to scare you but better to be cautious then not. I ended up with a low grade fever and a lot of pain before/during/after I peed about 8 days after surgery. Also had what I call sharp shocks of pain in my side. I had a bladder infection and my bladder was in spazzums. Got put on cipro and it all cleared up thank goodness. If you think something is wrong it never hurts to check!! Hope all turns out well for you!!
