6 months post op
Happy holidays to all!!!! I want to thank everyone to responding to my questions in my first few months post op. I am now 6 months op and doing fabulous!!!! I began working with a personal trainer 3 days a week in September and what a difference it has made!!! I have my flat bellyback and I am continuing to rebuild all the muscule that was cut through my very long vertical incision. I had a tah except I was able to keep one ovary, so at 39 I did not have endure menapause. But it did take a few weeks for that ovary to start functioning again and I went through a psuedo menapause, which gave me a new apprecition for when it happens! I still get somewhat sore in my sides from my training sessions and even running or any bouncing activity still causes a little tenderness. If I do a lot of walking I still do tire easily, but it does get easier each week. I firmly believe a healthy diet and exersize is the key to a healthy recovery. My bowels have returned to normal that took a couple months, so hang in there with that issue. I wish everyone a healthy happy new year and know that you have a wonderful support system on hystersister!!!!!!
