TAH April 28th, 05 Doc says Interstitial Cystitis, anyone else?

Anyone else have IC? Can you give me info? The doctor says I have it...haven't had the "official" test that looks in your bladder for red spots. She wants me to follow the diet, oh my goodness, that doesn't seem easy to do....

I have pain at the end of the urine stream, already took 2 antibotics last month and they didn't help so it's not a UTI...

My stomach is so tender and hurts between my belly button and scar! UGH....

I was diagnosed with IC. I don't follow a diet though just have a medication to control the cramping of the bladder so I dont have to run to the toilet too often... I suppose it will get worse and I will have to change habits eventually but for right now it is do as I please...

Sorry your going through this! I had worries that maybe I'm experiencing the same thing as you are after having two different antibiotics and still have pain at end of stream sometimes...So far my doctor has not suggested this and the new urine cultures came back negative, so I'm just giving it some time and I do seem to be getting slowly better. Now, while I was researching this issue I used the Bladder Matters forum.
