Help! I don't know the dosage of Premarin cream

Hey sisters,

I went to pick up my prescription for the premarin vaginal cream today and the dosage I'm suppose to use is not on there. My doc told me to use it every night for a month and then every other day for 2 weeks and then once a week from there. But the inserter that comes with it has dosage amounts on it and I don't know where to fill it up to. There is 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0. I called there today and of course they are not in (Friday). He might have told me but I forgot. What does everyone else use? I use no other HRT and I had endo really bad so I really don't want to use it at all but I have to at this point. Should I just go with the lowest dose?

Have you called the pharmacist to see if they have the dosage from your dr but just forgot to give it to you?

Mine was the 1.0 I am not doing any other HRT and only did this for 4 nights before I started having bleeding from Granulation and have not gone bak to using it.. I plan on soon.. My dr said very little is released into the blood stream and should not affect endo coming back.. I hope that is correct...

Most doctors have an answering service. You could leave a message with them and ask for the doctor to call you. I wouldn't use an amount based on what someone else is using as that may not be the amount your doctor wants you to use. Calling the pharmacy is a good idea also.

Definitely call your dr. Prescriptions vary greatly. Mine is .5 gram twice a week. About as low as you can get. Trying to help the dryness without waking up the endo. You situation is specific to you. Good luck.
