Feels like a tight band around upper abdomen .. anybody else ?

This may sound weird and I may be the only one with it but I have to ask right ? It feels like there is a tight band around my abdomen like just under my boobs that goes all the way around. I mean i know there 's no actual band but that's what it feels like. That or a vice grip. I am like 10 weeks out and I swear my belly is only getting bigger. It feels like I am going to pop or break a rib. Please tell me I am not alone! Thanks girls !

I have the same feeling of a tight band just under my boobs. When I look down and see this belly it's just crazy. I just want to feel 100% again.

Is it gas? I have the same thing happening to me, and I'm 6 days post op. It gets better if I walk around and when I eat, to take little bites and eat slowly. Plus don't drink your fluids with a straw... it adds air to the drink. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the " me too" really helps ! I know what ya mean about wanting to fee 100% again. I see we both had ours about the same time and I know I thought I would be better by now . When the Dr. said about 6 weeks to feel better I thought I would beat that cause that must be the maximum. Guess not! I have gained about 10 lbs, and it's got to all be in my belly. I am soooo moody , even though I kept my ovaries so that wouldn't be an issue. Hot flashes! Can't sleep ! Constipated , bloated, gas ............will it ever end??

It does seem like it is gas sometimes , and I have never heard of the straw thing so I will have to remember that. Thanks for your help and take care of yourself .....only 6 days post op ! .....bless your heart !

You sound just like me. I am so irratable and bloated. I know I have gained weight but I am not sure how much. I thought I would feel GREAT by now. I just feel like a bloated mean, sweaty lady!

Yep ! That's me alright, A mean , bloated , sweaty lady. Are you on any kind of HRT ? I have an appointment with my dr. on Thursday and I think I am going to ask about it.

I am not on HRT. I am going to call and make an appointment with my doctor to see what I need to do. Let us know how your appointment goes and I will be sure to keep all posted withwhat goes on with my appointment.

It sure is good to know I am not alone.
