Severe Menopause!

Ladies,
I wrote a post a few days ago about some serious symptoms I was having. About every 3 hours, I would begin to feel very warm. My ears, face, forearms, and legs would become bright red and then purple, and my entire body would tingle. My nose and lips would feel numb, and although I could take a deep breath, and knew I could, I felt very winded. Furthermore, it felt as if someone had a huge rubber band around my lower waist/abdomain. I would get a stabbing pain in the back of head, my vision would blur a trifle, and I would feel as if I just HAD to sit down. Well, needless to say, I thought I was dying, and I immediately thought heart attack or heart problems; however, my doctor said that I am in menopause with a vengence! I could not believe that menopause symptoms would mirror heart attack symptoms! It's just unreal! My ticker has been checked, and it is fine! I figured I was having hot flushes, but all this other stuff was so unexpected. I am writing to you about my symptoms to first ask if anyone else has had any of these, and to let those who may have them know that it CAN BE related to menopause, and you should ask your doctor about that possibility I think. If I had never asked, I would have never known. The good news is that my doctor doesn't see how surgical menopause could be any worse than this chemical I am going through thanks to Lupron Depot. My surgery is on Feb. 24th, and I guess I am " now" FULLY prepared.

Severe Menopause!

I agree that letting your dr about any extreme symptoms is a really good idea.

Best wishes with your surgery, you'll be in my prayers that all goes well for you.
