Pre-op Labs - Anyone good with symbols/abbreviations?

I'm looking over my pre-op lab slip. I know what everything is except for this one particular test. It looks like a T with a dot over it (or perhaps an I with a dot over it) followed by the word "units." The slip is mostly preprinted tests and the doctor checks off what he wants. This particular symbol he wrote in. He wrote it next to T&C (which I think is type and cross), but he didn't check off T&C to be performed. Unfortunately, I did not look closely at this sheet until after I was already home. Now, it is bugging me because I really want to know what it is. Any nurses or lab techs out there that might know???

Probably 1 unit of blood ready for you typed and crossed - just in case you need it. It is a T with a dot over it - that is how we right one. Good luck and a wonderful recovery... where we are all hormonally balanced.
