You might put a small pillow on your tummy to buffer the effects from the sneeze or cough.
Hope it gets better for you.

When I had my gallbladder surgery, the old way, I too used a pillow. It worked wonders!

Stop sneezing trick. DH gave me this hint and it stopped all sneezes until week 4 then I sneezed and no big deal!
Pinch your nose gently when you feel sneeze coming on. roll sides of nose with thumb and forefinger until it subsides. ALL GONE!
As for laughing: well, you're screwed! ha
