Re: What am I going to wear to work?

I have no idea why I did this but this morning I put jeans on before leaving for work. (7 weeks post op TAH today). They buttoned okay so I thought geez I'm going to wear these. Wow am I regretting it, my stomache hurts and I'm miserable sitting at my desk. Been sitting here for 4 1/2 hours now...and won't be able to leave to go home until 5. This is what I get for trying to get back to 'normal' and I really should've known better. Everybody wear comfy clothes our tummies will thank us!! I will be putting on my sweats at exactly 5:35 when i walk in the door!

Re: What am I going to wear to work?

I am going out today to look for dresses & skirts or leggings. I can't fit into any of my pants or jeans comfortably.

Re: What am I going to wear to work?

I have been thinking about "what to wear" too! I have been in pj's or sweats for two weeks now and that will not be appropriate for work!! Thank goodness it is springtime, so I am thinking that dresses and sandals will definitely be the best option. Especially, since I cannot stand the thought of a waistband touching my incisions and I am still dealing with a swelly belly, too!!

Re: What am I going to wear to work?

I found yoga pants on New York and Company's website. The material is nice, so if you dress up your outfit with a cute top and jewelry, you'll be work-ready in no time. And they come in petite for the shorter sisters! Good luck!

Re: What am I going to wear to work?

I too have had the same problem. I went back to work from my LAVH at three wees pt and could not wear anything. So I went to Old Navy and got some yoga type pants, they even had pockets in the front. I got them black and they look like dress pants if you wear the right tops. I got them a size larger as well, not too big so they fall of thougfh. They are soft and have been a God sent. I just past my 6 weeks and I am still wearing them. I can wear my regular pants but only for short periods of time.

Thanks ladies! I had not thought of yoga pants, but I will have to give them a try.
