Very confused on what to do

If you have an abdominal hysterectomy, you will be off work 4-6 weeks. Now I am not saying that it may not be worth it but I just wanted you to plan for the 4-6 weeks. I am glad I did it but it took me 6 weeks to get back to normal.

I had a myomectomy 15 years ago, they took out 26 fibroids, one as large as a grapefruit. So it can be done. However, my myomectomy was a more difficult operation than my hysterectomy. ( I wanted kids and had 2!!).

I guess it depends on how much you still want that uterus. I know some myomectomies are done through the vagina. Mine was done abdominally.

Maybe your doctor can not do a myomectomy vaginally because of the position?
