Question about uterus after Hyster...

Hey Sisters,
I have noticed that some Sisters have said things like this about the size of their uterus??? If not then what does this mean?:
4 week uterus
17 week uterus
I hope someone understands my question! LOL
(My uterus is enlarged, very enlarged. Like up passed my belly button large.) Should I be looking for the Doc to say something like that about my uterus?

A designation in weeks means that the uterus is the size of that number of weeks of pregnancy. Yes, if your uterus is enlarged your doctor may make a statement like that, in terms of "weeks of size".

Mine was like yours -- up by the belly button or even beyond. They said mine was 24-26 week size, but of course that depends on where the bulk is. If you click on "my photos" you'll see my uterus had a very round, bag-like appearance, and all the fibroids were inside and in the uterine lining, not on the outside.

Often you'll also hear it referred to as a certain fruit size (i.e. grapefruit, canteloupe) or a ball-size (softball, kittenball) because these are things which people relate to easily.
