Questions about stairs, nights in hospital

The Dr. or nurse will tell you about steps. Mine said if it was absolutely necessary I could use steps. I stayed away from steps totally for 2 weeks. The nurse explained driving to me this way, "when you feel like you can slam on the brakes without grabbing your tummy, then you're ready to drive." She told me not to drive for at least 4 weeks. I waited just a little over 4 weeks and then took my DH with me the first time.

Thank you all for your responses. You are all so helpful!

I will be purchasing a long handled reacher before surgery. This will help if I drop something. Am also planning on getting a long handled sponse too to reach the tough spots when showering.
