dVH/RALH: Magnesium Citrate before hysterectomy surgery

I have to drink 2 bottles of magnesium citrate tomorrow. The only flavors they had were cherry and lemon. I'm scared to death this stuff is going to make me puke. Can anyone tell me your experience with this stuff?

It is really not that bad going down. Make sure you chill it before drinking. Chase it with something that tastes good. Best wishes for you surgery and recovery!

I had the grape, which I heard was best, but who knows. Yep, drink it cold. It's intensely sour but not really bad tasting. I only had to drink one bottle, so two should clean you out pretty good!

I had it for my colonoscopy. Drink it cold and fast and wash it down with sprite. Don't choose your favorite flavor or it will ruin it for you for good. Ha. Someone told me that.

I had just one bottle of the lemon. It wasnt too bad but i did alternate with water cuz it was a little tart. Not bad though.

My doctor had me mix mine with 7 up or sprite. I put it in the fridge the day before to get it cold. Mixed it with a little bit of cold sprite. The worst part for me was that its carbonated. I only drink water. I don't like carbonated drinks.

I had a pretty hard time with the stuff, but I tend to be nauseous anyway. It is definitely more bearable cold

I chose the lemon flavor - it is pretty bad tasting stuff, but is better cold. Just drink it as best you can, and have water or other clear liquid in between.

Also, it can take time to work so don't panic if it takes a few hours or more. Just be home when you start it so you are close to a bathroom.

The bottles are in the fridge waiting for me to choke them down tomorrow LOL
