anyone else have stitches poking out vaginally?

I had a rectocele/entrocele repair on May 2nd. Came home and now seem to have a rather long single stitch showing. Called the doctor on call (noticed it on Friday after 5 p.m. of course!) and he didn't seem too worried (do they ever?!) I had quite alot of stomach upset after surgery and I'm worried I shook something loose, although the doctor said if this had happened I would have noticed quite a lot of blood. I am still bleeding very slightly, but never did bleed a whole lot. I have never heard of when repairs fail you bleed ??? I thought things just fell.....

It is probably the stitch near or on the perineum...my incision went 'round the corner' and I was told I would probably see the stitch if I looked.
I investigated at my last surgery and scared myself silly because I didn't know what I was looking at and what was normal and not.
A discharge and some bleeding is also normal for several weeks. You have had a lot done.
Take it very easy in your recovery and don't expect to be 100% immediately. It does take time, so enjoy the enforced rest and relaxation and allow your body time and energy to heal after its ordeal.
