Heavy bleedinga and clotting after tubes tied
Does anyone know if there would be a reason why after having my tubes tied I would start to bleed heavily and clotting is the same, heavy. I had three normal preg and births. My periods were "normal" up until this???/

Heavy bleedinga and clotting after tubes tied
Hi georgeswife,
I never had my tubes tied, so I can't speak from experience on this. However, I have seen a number of threads here at HS on this topic and it does seem that there may be some connection to having your tubes tied and an increase in bleeding, pain, etc.
You might try doing a search for other threads on this topic. Use the Search button above, then do a keyword search on something like "tubes tied" to get a list of other threads that mention this.
Hopefully someone else will be along who can speak from personal experiene on this. I know these never-ending and painful periods can take the joy out of life. Sending hugs your way.

Heavy bleedinga and clotting after tubes tied
I did a very fast search on the internet using the words, tubal ligation. I was shocked to read that reversals of this surgery are desired for the purpose of reversing the effects of the surgery!
It's called: Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome:
Irregular, heavy and painful periods
early menopause symptoms
premenstrual syndrome
too many symptoms to list here!
I have no personal experience from this procedure. I took a peek at the photos of the surgery while I was on site. I also checked out other sites but did not find complaints of post surgery as much as the desire to have the surgery reversed.
See what you can find and keep us posted.

Tube Tied Nightmare!
I had my tubes tied August 1994 (after the birth of my 3rd son) - what a nightmare. I did have HEAVY bleeding right after the surgery, and all of my periods there after. But wait, thats not the end of the story. October 1996, to my surprise - I BECAME PREGNANT - had my 4th baby, continued with the bad periods, my ob/gyn said my tubes were STILL tied. I was one of thoe 6% who have had a failed tubalilgation. Then May 1999, I became pregnant with #5. After the birth of that baby, my periods became unbearable, clotting, pain, blood all the time. I just had my TVH 1/7/03 - THANK GOD!! My life is already different.
I hope I answered some questions. The tubaligation surgery actually can create heavy bleeding, this is based upon my experience and others who I know who have had the procedure, also, mine failed 2X!

Oh, Sharon what a story! This is one for the record books, I think.
I'm glad to hear you are feeling better already since your hyst a few weeks ago. I hope the kids are helping out at home. Take it easy and thanks for sharing your tubal ligation story!

Heavy bleedinga and clotting after tubes tied
Hi,
I had mine tied 6 yrs ago. Ever since then I developed many problems as you listed.
This is also when my hell began.
It drastically effected my hormones.
I gained 70-lbs in less than 2 years!
It took 3 Dr's to finally Dx me with PCOS(polycystic ovarian syndrome)
I was also Dx with insulin resitance(Not diabeties)
and PMDD(Premenstral disforic disorder.AKA~ PMS from He*l!)
Just last month I finally was Dx with endometreosis and I began my journey to have them take it all out.
I have been sick for the last 2 years with last year being the worst year of my life. So yes I personally believe that the tubal plays a major role.
I just came from my appt today and my DR says it's time for the hyst. The endo is so bad. Even one of my tubes is gone.
So now everything needs to come out.
I now tell every woman who is considering having it done to reconsider and have their DH do theirs instead!
Unfortunatly mine refused at the time.(Something he now regrets for many reasons)

tubal
I had my tubes tied less than two months after having my second son via emergency cesarean. That was nearly four years ago, and I've had trouble ever since. Actually began with "mental" symptoms - depression, anxiety, panic attacks - it wasn't until this past summer that I had the physical symptoms - heavy and prolonged bleeding, extreme pain, fatigue, abnormally quick weight gain. I thought, "Oh my gosh, whoever said you fall apart when you hit 30 was right!". After trying several different medications and having a lap done in October to see "what's really going on", we decided to go ahead and do a hyst; scheduled for next month. Hystersisters has been a God-send for me; I'm sure I would've been much more nervous and scared had I not discovered this wonderful site!
Good luck to you!

Heavy bleedinga and clotting after tubes tied
Hi All
I saw this thread a few days ago, but just now had time to do the research I was looking for --- It's in a post by Audrey on the following thread about 2/3 of the way down:
Tubal Ligation
I had my tubes tied in 1990 and didn't notice really heavy bleeding and clotting until 2-1/2 years ago. Just another example of how we're all different!

Heavy bleedinga and clotting after tubes tied
Hi Ladies
I had my tubes tied 28th march 1999. When I went to see gyn about having them tied she said to me having them tied does make you more prone to hysterectomies, and guess what low and behold on 28th March 2002 I had a Tah. I suffered with very heavy periods and clotting after having them tied, more spooky is the fact that hyst was exactly 3yrs later on the exact date.
I am 10 months post hyst now and I feel let's say 98% better, so surgery for me was well worth it.
Hugs
JANE
