on the road to recovery
well, it has been a stressful situation with the insurance company, but I finally had my VH this past Monday. I was put on the nursery ward floor because it was more cheerful then the surgery floor. Plus I would get to see the new babies while I did my walks. Too bad the babies are now left in the rooms with their new mom's, andnot in the nursery.
Came home the following evening and was glad to get some sleep. Not to brag, but I must have been a very lucky person to have such little pain (hardly took any pain meds) and a little gas. The nurse was nice enough to remind me that if I laid on my left side, the gas pains would pass easier. I'm home doing the resting thing, but find myself becoming very bored. Tried reading, watching TV (ugh....) and knitting. Thank goodness the weather has been spring-like so that I am able to walk outside to get some fresh air and the mail.
I was so scared when I heard different stories that people have endeared, but please remember that there are some people who will do just fine. My prayer are with all you those that need to have hysterectomies. This is a great support site and was so glad to have found it.
Be sure to contact me if I can at all be any support to anyone. I know that not everyone is built the same and support is the best thing to help get through this time.

Welcome home new Princesses!
Hi, Karen!
home, new Princess! Glad to hear everything went well and you are home recovering. The inactivity is hard to take at first. I'm glad you are able to get out and walk. That was my favorite activity.
Sending best wishes to you for a continued smooth recovery!
Thanks for checking in with us.
