Anyone on a bi weekly patch?

I am on Vivelle dot .75 and I have a question - the box says to change the patch twice weekly - that means every 3.5 days. I've heard many say they change their patch weekly - anyone on a bi weekly patch?

the only thing i don't like about the dot is the glue marks it leaves behind. but i have finally found something that takes it off my body alcholo pads.

Re: Anyone on a bi weekly patch?

I've been using the Vivelle-dot since 2002, changing it twice a week: Monday evenings and Friday mornings (every 3.5 days).

Yep, I am on Vivelle, I change it twice a week. I tried a once a week patch, and I did not like it. It fell off all the time! And, lots of other problems with it. I love my dot!

There are a variety of patches on the market. One of them is the Climara, which is a weekly patch. The Vivelle Dot is a twice weekly patch.

Re: Anyone on a bi weekly patch?

using Vivelle here too. don't like the stickiness and if you see my other post had one roll up into a mess on me. but so far like the effects better than tablets.

I had much better results when I changed it once in AM and once a week in PM, even though the directions don't spell that out. My only problem is remembering to do it!

Re: Anyone on a bi weekly patch?

I love my Vivelle patch, changed on Fri & Mon. It's smaller than the Climera patch, and it doesn't seem to leave as much adhesive after taking it off. My MD gave me a choice, and I just prefer the tinier one.
When I put it on I hold my hand over it for 10 seconds so my body heat warms it up & makes it stick better. Haven't had one fall off yet.

i seem to be able to tell that i need to change it about 6-8 hours before time. i get extra emotional then. anyone else have that issue? the doctor already bumped me up from a .05

Re: Anyone on a bi weekly patch?

My Dr just changed mine to "change every 3 days" instead of 2xs a week. Picked up at the pharmacy but still only got 8...so now I have to call them.

I would ask about it - sounds like you are not the only one.
