Pain on one side of your incision only?

I am two weeks post op and feeling awesome! The only complaint I have is that one side (the right side) of my incision hurts. Does your incision hurt at all? Why would only one side of my incision hurt? It's just a little sore...

My pain is on the left side only....I drive a stick shift, so I think that is the reason.

Re: Pain on one side of your incision only?

I ended up with a stitch sticking out of my incision and talked to my doctor specifically about my incision and why it was uneven in lumpiness, tenderness, etc. She pointed out that they do a running stitch, underneath the skin, to close the incision, but then have to tie it off somewhere, so the knot ends up on one side of the incision or the other. It could be that the extra stitching, with the knot, etc., is just more tender and slower to dissolve, heal and smooth out.
Hope you're feeling better soon!
