Most jobs will understand if your hubby needs to start a day later, and I am sure that one of your family or friends jobs will understand and let them off to bring you home. In my experience with job interviews, and 2nd interviews with the job offer, I have never been asked to start the next day. Most job offers are made with the provisions of drug test and background check. Not only the jobs I have been offered but also everyone that I know. The only time I have seen someone have an interview and start the next day was when they were working for a temp agency and the drug and background check was already done. Take a deep breath, it will work out.
